Great Deals on Printable Holiday Games

What could be easier?  Are you like us — we plan every detail of our parties – the invitations, the party decor, the party favors, the food, and never think about planning activities absolutely convinced that our guests are interesting and engaging individuals and can easily entertain themselves.  (except for children’s parties where we plan and schedule every minute).

And then once in a while, we either have a sneaking suspicion a day or so in advance or are caught completely off guard right then and there. And we realize things aren’t going so well.  We have had political conversations go ballistic, strident parenting advice get a bit overbearing, and the freshly minted vegan choose this opportunity to proselytize.  There is not much to do about it except quickly change the conversation.  That’s where these printable holiday games come in extraordinarily handy. So be your own holiday party savior with this fun and easy way to keep the kids and adults entertained for hours during long holiday gatherings.

Daniel Tiger Birthday Party Planning, Ideas & Supplies

Daniel Tiger Birthday Party

Welcome to Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood! Daniel, the son of Daniel Striped Tiger from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, and his friends Katerina Kittycat and O the Owl cannot wait to help you celebrate your little one’s birthday. To get started, try a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Party in a Box exclusively from Birthday Express on Amazon and then supplement your Daniel Tiger birthday party with special touches from some of our favorite Etsy sellers.

Just a quick note on Party Idea Pros approach to children’s parties.

We have an “old fashion” approach to kids’ parties.  Keep them small, keep them short, and keep them simple.  We love hula hoopsbeach balls, crayons, washable markers, glue sticks, and musical instruments.  Generally, the number of guests should equal the age of the birthday child, but don’t obsess if you are a few over or under — it is not worth the hurt feelings for an extra child or even two.   Never, ever deliver invitations at school, unless every single child is invited!!!!!   Skip the jumpies and the pony rides. Printable Thanksgiving Games

We love Thanksgiving.  It not only brings together family far and near but when done well, Thanksgiving is a leisurely day of game playing and game watching, cooking and eating. And we usually throw in an early morning walk for charity so we don't feel quite so decadent.  Last year we planned our extended family vacation.  This year, we will most likely plan Popol's 80th birthday celebration. But in between, as always, Izzy, Ali and Jen will get together to decide which of the many Thanksgiving games  we will play this year.

Coco Birthday Party Planning, Ideas & Supplies

by Karli

If you and your family have not yet seen Disney Pixar's Coco, we highly recommend you head to the nearest theaters ASAP! This is easily one of our all time favorite movies. Coco is an educational, adorable and heart-warming animated film about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). If you and your children are a fan of the movie seriously consider using the movie to inspire your next birthday party. Not only will your party be visually brilliant, its beautiful meaningful message will set your party apart from the rest, in only good ways! (This is a great theme for classroom parties as well). 10 Baby Gender Reveal Party Ideas

Creating a gender reveal party post has been on the top of our “to do” list for ages.  Since we still have not gotten around to creating our own, we thought we would at least share some ideas from one of our “go to” party suppliers, Windy City Novelties. And as usual, we could not help ourselves and ended up  editing their copy and even throwing in a few (ok, more than a few) ideas of our own.

What are Gender Reveal Parties?

Gender reveal parties have become quite popular over the past few years. Oftentimes, gender reveal parties are held in the place of a baby shower, and both men and women are invited to the event. However, there are couples that will hold both a gender reveal party and a baby shower. At the gender reveal party, the guests, and sometimes the parents themselves, will find out the sex of their unborn child. The purpose of the party is to share the news and celebrate with close friends and family.
