It is not too late to still plan an Election Night Party. Four years ago, we failed to plan ahead but when we got to the polls we ran into friends and invited them over to watch the election results and to enjoy a spur of the moment dinner together. An evening of fabulous food it was not but we had the best time despite being on opposite sides of the political spectrum.
This year we are planning ahead – even sending out formal invitations. We haven't yet decided what to serve but we are definitely serving drinks in ball mason jars with red & white stripe retro paper straws. We may even go with these sorta silly paper plates with the candidates pictures plastered all over them.
But more likely, we will go with a slightly less polarizing look. We love this chic navy and red plaid pattern. Add a splash of politics and a few printable election games. Simple. Stunning.
