For all of you who love your four-legged friends, our friends over at GreatGets.com have put together 7 of their favorite pet lover holiday photo cards ! Not surprisingly, they too turned to Minted and Zazzle two of our very favorite stationery merchants. Personally, we think these puppy pictures are a great alternative to family photos , especially as your kids grow up and are no longer interested in posing for the family photo. Continue Reading →
I really can't believe it, today we received our first Hanukkah party invitation of the season and it is only mid October. Here's the kicker – we are already booked! The fact is that this year (2013) Hanukkah coincides with Thanksgiving and if you are even thinking about having a party, you really need to send out the invitations ASAP! Hanna is going to be so disappointed since we have attended her party every year for the last 2 decades but have 30 out of town guests expecting to be entertained that weekend. We highly recommend asking around to see if maybe this year you are better off hosting your Hanukkah holiday party on Sunday early evening rather than Saturday night. My gut is that you will have significantly fewer conflicts.
Update >> Chanukah 2018
This year Hanukkah begins on Sunday, December 2 and ends the December 10. This means that we only have one weekend this year to host our Hanukkah parties this year so be sure to get your invitations out early before someone else books the Saturday night or Sunday.
The featured invitations are still among our favorites but there a few new Chanukah party invitations this year we want to add to our list of Best Hanukkah Party Invitations Continue Reading →
The Best Ornament Holiday Cards!
Christmas is coming! It's now time to start decorating your trees and sending out your holiday cards! When it comes to finding the cutest cards, we can always rely on Minted. Our absolute favorite ornament Christmas cards are on Minted!
In full disclosure, if we were ordering ornament cards today, we would probably choose Minted because we are truly in love with their designs! Aren't these darling!
We love Instagram. We check our feed first thing every morning and today we awoke to this festive end of summer party idea courtesy of Tiny Prints. How fun would it be to send off summer with a toasty treat by setting up a stocked s'mores bar in your back yard! We just happen to have a fire pit (or two) so we can't wait to invite friends over for s'more fun. Although we did like these joyful herringbone party invitations (they are no longer available), in the end we actually prefer the more literal s'mores party invitations available on Minted so there is absolutely no confusion about what to expect – no dinner, no cocktails, simply s'mores. We are especially excited that among the Minted invitation offerings is one of their free online invitations (*free thru 12.31.17) Continue Reading →
Tiny Prints is Getting a New Home
Yep! You read that correctly. Tiny Prints is getting a new home and truthfully, we are not happy. They have decided to close their current site and combine forces with their sister company, Shutterfly. We like Shutterfly just fine. Our issue with the move is that we have innumerable links to Tiny Prints products that we love and it will take us months and months to find them all and replace them with links to their comparable products on Shutterfly. So, if you do click on an invitation link and it sends you back to our home page, please be patient. In the meantime, you can use this link to Shutterfly and then search on the product name. Hopefully, you can find the exact product on Shutterfly and all will be good.
We have also discovered Minted.com. Minted features many of the same convenient features that we loved about TinyPrints and also offers a large variety of card designs. You will not be disappointed with Minted.
Once again, thank you for your patience as we make the transition along with Tiny Prints! And remember, Tiny Prints last day is June 27, 2017.
How cute are these color-in kids thank you notes from Tiny Prints. We are huge believers in teaching children from a very young age the importance of communicating gratitude. In fact, we think the sending of thank you notes, at any age is an etiquette must. (Brides and grooms are you listening? We are still awaiting way too many thank you notes. Although your guests may have a year to send a present, you do not have a year to send out your thank you's. Think a few weeks – a month at the most!) Continue Reading →
