Tiny Prints >> Color-In Kids Thank You Notes
How cute are these color-in kids thank you notes from Tiny Prints. We are huge believers in teaching children from a very young age the importance of communicating gratitude. In fact, we think the sending of thank you notes, at any age is an etiquette must. (Brides and grooms are you listening? We are still awaiting way too many thank you notes. Although your guests may have a year to send a present, you do not have a year to send out your thank you's. Think a few weeks – a month at the most!) Continue Reading →
Loving this Shutterfly's custom mugs. We think this mug would make a wonderful teacher holiday gift, especially at 40% off. The chalkboard chic pattern with your child's teacher's initial has a cool teacher vibe yet is not another apple gift.

Are you looking for a fun and easy ways for your family to incorporate Ann Curry's challenge for each of us to commit to #26acts of kindness to honor each child and heroic teacher lost in Newtown? We love these Boom Boom Cards because they make make teaching kindness simple. Yes, we do believe kindness is a teachable skill with the first lesson being each individual must take full responsibility for their own kindness and expect nothing in return (100/0 Principle).
Here's how these amazing agents of altruism describe their cards:
Boom Boom! Cards Family Edition brings your family together to perform 26 acts of kindness. Once you’ve done a card, put a Boom Boom! sticker on the Command Central Activity Board to indicate that you’ve done it, post the story of what happened on the website, then pass the card on for someone else to do. Each card’s unique ID enables your family to follow the family deck cards you do on the website’s map and see where they end up! Included discussion cards inspire conversation about the whole experience with your children. Teach the values of compassion, kindness and community and have fun doing it!

Make it a beautiful day! Make every day a kindness day!
Looking for innovative ways for your company or institution to incorporate Ann Curry's challenge for each of us to commit to 26 acts of kindness to honor each child and heroic teacher lost in Newtown? Remember kindness starts at home or in this case, in the office! Start by implementing a Random Acts of Kindness or a 100/0 Principle Day modeled after Smith College’s Mountain Day where every year, the president chooses a beautiful fall day and announces a holiday day off to re-invigorate the soul by ringing the college bells. Even though you most likely won’t choose to give employees a day off, incorporate the concept of encouraging your employess to live life more compassionately by taking authentic responsibility for relationships into the day’s normal routine. The operative words should be kindness and respect and patience with zero tolerance for anything less. This is a good day to review your company's harassment policies and conduct company-wide harassment training.
