Don't forget to print out a few printable patriotic games for your Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and President's Day Celebration Parties. They are not very expensive so even if you don't end up using them this time, you will have unlimited printouts for 90 days which takes you way past Labor Day.
We love to have these games on hand just in case … just in case it rains, just in case the little kids (or the big kids) get antsy, just in case your party extends well into the evening after the sun goes down and the lawn games get put away. Printable games are also a perfect evening activity when camping since they are light weight and easy to transport. Consider printing on recycled paper. Additionally, if you are looking for classroom activities for a patriotic school party, these are both educational and fun.
All six of these printable patriotic games will keep your guests guessing and laughing plus you can personalize all of them.
Lots of folks host backyard Memorial Day & 4th of July parties. But today we are talking to those of you who are planning block parties, community parades, family reunions, and even patriotic theme wedding celebrations. Although you will find lots of creative ideas to plan your patriotic party from a host of our previous patriotic party posts, most of the products showcased are available in small quantities. Seldom does a backyard party call for a case of patriotic party supplies that includes 48 patriotic banners or 36 patriotic headband boppers or flip flops. But for bulk purchases, Dollar Tree has you covered! Continue Reading →
Memorial Day is just around the corner but there is still plenty of time to order a few extras to add a festive touch to your party and you don't need to spend a fortune to do so. We love the little mason jar sippers with red and blue striped straws. Glass bowls filled with red, white and blue jelly belly and m & m candies are fun, easy and inexpensive. Good looking paper plates and napkins are always essential. Throw a few small vases filled with swirl pops and patriotic pretzels around the room intermixed with this simple fresh flower arrangement (ok – we admit, no matter how great our decor, it never seems quite complete unless we have at least one vase of fresh flowers). Patriotic cupcake kits make yummy cupcakes taste even better. How fun would it be to send your guests home with individual bottles of “Hot & Proud” hot sauce which also add a bit of sass to your table settings. And finally, red and blue ribbons remind us of the meaning of Memorial Day.
Although a bit too late to purchase for use at today's Memorial Day BBQ's, it is definitely not too early to start planning for your 4th of July entertaining needs! Celebrate summer (and our forefathers) with this collection of patriotic party buckets, grilling accessories, plates, and more. By the time you're through, you're sure to feel like lighting a sparkler or two.
Some of the deals are good but others are really great especially the napkin rings which we promise you will use over and over – not just at your patriotic parties! We are featuring just a few of the fabulous products. Be sure to check them all out NOW! So many of our favorites are already sold out.
We just received word that Ancestry.com is providing special Free Access this weekend in honor of Memorial Day!
So cool – we immediately went to looked up our dads' service enlistment records and there they were. Although initially we were unsure abut how this all might practically relate to planning your Memorial Day party as we were using the site we had one of those aha moments – we think access to these military records could actually be integrated into your celebration to add meaning and interest. We envision the family gathered around the computer oohing and aahing as you discover all sorts of ancestral history. In fact, if at all possible we recommend connecting your computer to your television (this might be the excuse you needed to invest in that long coveted Apple TV or other wireless computer to tv content streaming device) so searching your family history becomes an extended family bonding activity.
From Thursday May 23rd through Monday May 27, 2013, Ancestry.com is offering Free Access to the large collection of new military collections, draft, enlistment and service records. Visit Ancestry.com to start your search!
