These days, it is more important than ever to tell the people you care about how much they mean to you. Since we are not able to just stop by and say hi, it is time to get inventive. Make someone's day by sending them a little something that just says “thinking of you” so they can stay safe and have fun at home. It does not have to be grand nor expensive, the goal is just to make their day a little bit brighter. Continue Reading →
If you and your family have not yet seen Disney Pixar's Coco, we highly recommend you head on over to Netflix or Amazon Prime Video! This is easily one of our all time favorite movies. Coco is an educational, adorable and heart-warming animated film about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). If you and your children are a fan of the movie seriously consider using the movie to inspire your next birthday party. Not only will your party be visually brilliant, its beautiful meaningful message will set your party apart from the rest, in only good ways! (This is a great theme for classroom parties as well). …Where the Wild Things Are – A Tribute to Maurice Sendak
“The wild things roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws but Max stepped into his private boat and waved good-bye and sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks and through a day and into the night of his very own room where he found his supper waiting for him and it was still hot.” Where the Wild Things Are
As many of you already know, we are huge fans of Maurice Sendak. For more than forty years, the books Maurice Sendak has written and illustrated have nurtured children and adults alike and have challenged established ideas about what children's literature is and should be. The New York Times has recognized that Sendak's work “has brought a new dimension to the American children's book and has helped to change how people visualize childhood.” Parenting recently described Sendak as “indisputably, the most revolutionary force in children's books.”
To honor Mr. Sendak's memory we think the most appropriate tribute is making sure you have at least one Sendak book in your personal library. Here are a few of our favorites! Just scroll over the book cover for the title and click on the picture for a summary of each book.

We have taken the time to comb through hundreds of products and have gathered various combinations to fit the costumes of some of our favorite movie characters. Continue Reading →

Nothing pulls a party together like a festive, meaningful theme! In addition to Zazzle's great paper plates and paper napkins, they now offer custom paper cups. As you know, we almost always feature themed paper goods that coordinate with all of our theme parties but even we must admit, occasionally, there really is nothing quite right out there, especially when it comes to paper cups. One option is to throw a themed sticker on the cup but that can look a bit rinky dink if nothing else in your party has that homemade feel to it. Now you can create your own customized paper cups using this handy HOW2 video showing tips for creating great-looking designs on Zazzle's fun new “add your own image here” paper cups. Our featured image, is meant for design inspiration. With so many options our advice is to avoid overly obsessing. Just choose one design and go for it! We really like the fact that you can use a background design alone or in conjunction with additional text and images.
