Free Printables Celebrate Dads
Today we received the best looking wedding save the date we have seen in quite some time. It immediately brought to mind Hello Lucky, one of our favorite stationery merchants. Turns out they recently retired their custom invitations to concentrate on greeting cards. While perusing their new product line we happened upon these beautifully designed FREE printables for dad. Yes they are perfect for Father's Day but hey, Dads' have birthdays and enjoy gifts at the holidays too and most Dads' deserve to be celebrated everyday! We especially love the custom vintage style beer labels and sock bands. What a way to make giving a ho hum pair of black socks special. Continue Reading →
Winter Wonderland Mitten Theme Party
This is undoubtedly one of our most popular party packages, all year round. Obviously it is a perfect theme for holiday parties, but it also works well for all winter events including bridal & baby showers, adult & children's birthday parties, sweet sixteen parties, quinceanera celebrations, proms, fundraisers and college parties of all kinds. Every year my son's fraternity threw a major Let it Snow philanthropy event complete with snow and lots of girls dressed in adorable snow bunny costumes. This theme is also completely appropriate for classroom holiday parties since mittens are pretty innocuous and non-denominational. Continue Reading →
Tin Ceiling Tile Magnetic Seating Charts & Escort Card Boards
We so loved Ceiling Tile Ideas concept of using tin ceiling tiles as magnetic seating charts or escort card boards for weddings, mitzvahs, quinceaneras, sweet sixteens, anniversary and every celebration, we decided to feature it here. The best part is that the tile can be painted to coordinate with your party decor. The pictures below, featured on Ruffled , are great for a manor or vintage style wedding, but the decorative metal tile idea is extremely versatile and will work equally well with any style even an art deco or modern look. From Coachella to Stagecoach to FYF and Gov Ball, music and art festivals are more popular than ever. While music may be the main focus of thesae festivals, one could argue that the festival fashion, and especially Coachella fashion, is the true showstopper! Here is our issue with so many of the Coachella outfits >> they are what we have begun to call wanna-be's. Rather than being authentic 70's and bohemian style outfits, they are fakes. It is a little like home decorating. All those tiles that are trying to look like wood or stone and simply are not, drive us completely crazy. We always say don't choose a fake version of something if you can readily get the real thing. Same with clothes. Why buy fake 70's clothes when you can buy real vintage one of a kind outfits. This is why we turned to Daryn Belinsky, of Little Light Vintage, for her take on this year's festival wear. Continue Reading →

Merry Christmas! Even as you are opening your presents and eating your feast, the chances are you are already surreptitiously thinking about your New Year's Eve celebration and starting to obsess over the perfect outfit, accessories, and hair & make-up. If you are contemplating wearing a statement dress for your New Years party, then you should seriously consider wearing a sleek and chic hair style like a ponytail. There are various ways to wear a ponytail. My favorite hair inspiration, Kate Beckinsale, has been seen sporting a voluminous ponytail quite often. It is the perfect way to vamp up the typical ponytail. It has a very 1950s vintage vibe to it. And it doesn't matter how much hair you have because with the right teasing, it will look just right! Plus a perfect way to put a modern twist to the look is to add an elastic band hair cuffs! They add glam without overpowering the style. To see how to style this hairdo look below!
