The Moscow Mule is Back Just in Time for Christmas!

The Moscow Mule is Back Just in Time for Christmas!

Yes, the Moscow Mule is back! And just in time for Christmas revelry. We love the idea of setting up a Christmas drink station  to spread holiday cheer. And letting our guest serve themselves would free up our designated bartenders so they too could enjoy the festivities. The hardest part about making the Moscow Mule is finding beautiful affordable mugs. So we were thrilled to be find these copper mugs. We love them all but are particularly enamored with the hammered copper mugs and think this Moscow Mule Gift Set would make a great stocking stuffer and holiday gift exchange present!

Thanksgiving Paper Placemat Table Setting Ideas

Update!

Although the original autumn paper table setting placemats sold out long ago, we just found these very similar Farmers Market Paper Placemat Pads (and no, they are not limited time offerings – they are available all year round!)

We recommend you combine these stylish-yet-rustic paper placemats, paper napkins, and paper table runners, each adorned with a motif of fresh garden vegetables, to create a stunning Thanksgiving table.  The combination will result in the oft sought but hard to achieve sense of sophistication and quality that comes across as effortless.

Although I haven't completely made up my mind, with 50 relatives ringing the doorbell at exactly 1:00 on Thanksgiving Thursday, I am very tempted to go with this design aesthetic. The idea would be to combine the causal elegance of this  kraft paper design with my collection of fine china, Fiesta dinnerware and crystal stemware. Not only does this design blend seamlessly into my industrial modern home decor, I think it will make re-setting the tables in between courses so much easier – I can just snatch up the dirty placemats, toss them in the trash and add a fresh mat at each place setting  Plus, I could pull the look all together with copper colander centerpieces (filled with fresh seasonal vegetables, and cacti or ivy filler) and chalkboard chic food tags. Since I serve so many different dishes to satisfy a vast array of dietary restrictions, I think it might be helpful to label them all so individuals can choose whether or not to partake. And while I am thinking about it, wouldn't it be great to serve Moscow Mules in copper cups as a festive drink to visually compliment the centerpieces?
