Coco Birthday Party Planning, Ideas, and Supplies
If you and your family have not yet seen Disney Pixar's Coco, we highly recommend you head on over to Netflix or Amazon Prime Video! This is easily one of our all time favorite movies. Coco is an educational, adorable and heart-warming animated film about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). If you and your children are a fan of the movie seriously consider using the movie to inspire your next birthday party. Not only will your party be visually brilliant, its beautiful meaningful message will set your party apart from the rest, in only good ways! (This is a great theme for classroom parties as well). Is your daughter a Doc McStuffins fan? If so, throw her a Doc McStuffins birthday party and be sure to invite all of Dottie's toy pals Stuffy, Hallie, Lambie and Chilly! Your birthday girl will sing, dance and play along fueled by these cute and colorful Doc McStuffins birthday party ideas.
What is Doc McStuffins?
Dot McStuffins is an animated Disney Channel series that chronicles the life and adventures of a girl named Dottie “Doc” McStuffins. Dottie decides she wants to become a doctor like her mother. She practices her dream by fixing toys and dolls. When she puts on her stethoscope, toys, dolls, and stuffed animals come to life and she can interact with them. With help from her stuffed animal friends – Stuffy the Dragon, Hallie the Hippo, Lambie the Lamb, and Chilly the Snowman – Doc helps toys recover, or “feel better”, by giving them check-ups and diagnosing their illnesses with an encyclopedia called “The Big Book of Boo Boos”. Each 11-minute episode includes original songs. Continue Reading →
Meet the Little Voices Inside Your Head
Each and every one of us struggles with party planning because there are so many great ideas for themes, decorations, food, and even questions about who to invite. The folks over at Birthday Express have a fun solution. They suggest that rather than letting the competing voices in your head make you crazy, put them to good use, just like Riley did in the critically acclaimed Disney Pixar movie “Inside Out!” Continue Reading →
As you well know, successful children's parties need detailed planning. Down time often equals trouble because when you put a bunch of kids together with nothing to do, I promise you they will either create drama (girls) or create chaos (boys). That is why Party Idea Pros highly recommends slotting in at least 4 organized activities in addition to eating. We recommend planning a doing activity, a craft activity, a game activity, and ending the party with a breaking the pinata. Additionally, we always plan an extra game or two just in case the kids aren't feeling one the activities we planned or each activity goes more quickly than anticipated. Remember it is much easier to cut out a planned game than it is to create one on the spot.
For Halloween consider planning a Witch Hunt as your doing activity where you turn out the lights, and players search in the dark with flashlights for witch paper cut-outs secretly placed around the party area! We love the Color Your Own Halloween Paddleball Games as the craft activity. And the Bean Bag Toss, Dart Board, Disk Drop, and Pin The Tail On The Cat all work for the game activity. And of course, there are plenty of great Halloween pinatas available. For the “just in case” games simply print out a few Halloween theme printable games and if you need them, you can let the kids choose which one to play. Also, for Halloween we would add one more activity – a fashion show so the kids can “show off” their costumes!
Happy Halloween & Party Hearty!
