We first became obsessed with the whole concept of mother daughter matching tutus to wear to themed birthday parties and mommy & daughter photo shoots from a post on MomMeMatch.com. Then it dawned on us tutu flower girl dresses would perfectly compliment princess style tulle bridal gowns. We are not sure whether it is the adorable photography (courtesy of Alisha Dawn Photography) or the tutu flower girl dresses themselves but we had to share these custom flower girl dresses by SplendidlySavvy.
All the tutu flower girl dresses are custom made from hundreds of yards of extra soft and premium nylon tulle to create a full and pouffy, twirly dress fit for a princess. Plus, since all the dresses are made just for you, all dresses can be tailored to you wedding colors! And as much as we love them with pretty ballerina flats, these dresses can also be worn with colorful cowboy boots for a chabby chic or western style wedding. Continue Reading →
Vintage Inspired Wedding Dresses | White Prom & Special Occasion Dresses
Despite popular misperceptions, it is not only possible to find beautiful, relatively inexpensive wedding dresses, you can also receive them the next day if willing to pay for overnight shipping. All of the looks featured above are vintage inspired white and cream dresses priced from $75.00 – $400.00 and would be appropriate for all but a black tie wedding. Complete your wedding day look with headpieces and veils! Keep it simple and elegant. For shoes, we recommend sticking with the vintage vibe in a neutral heel. For us, the height of the heel matters less than the style. We would stay away from wedges, wood heels, and super casual looks but are not opposed to adding a bit of personality and color if you dare!
Just an FYI – these dresses are not just for brides. All would also be appropriate for any summer special occasion including prom!
We had to post this picture as soon as we saw it. Leave it to Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively's Gossip Girl character) to wear 2013's latest trend in wedding dresses – gold & white. This fabulous Georges Chakra Couture strapless gown with a low back is all a-glitter on top and then explodes into a white tulle bottom. It really is so Serena!
There are not yet many affordable gold and white ball gown style wedding dresses available but we are all over this trend so keep checking back as we discover options for you to “get the look.”
