New Years Party Planning, Ideas, & Supplies

There is still plenty of time to organize a fun and festive New Years Eve Party or New Years Day Open House! We must fess up — this is the one party each year we most enjoy hosting. Our favorite theme of all time is “Your Favorite Things” party. We asked each guest to usher in the New Year by bringing something to represent his or her favorite things. Guests brought family favorites such as poppy's butterscotch crunchies, tenderloin in honor of a cook-out we hosted a few years back, and homemade tamales. One year, one of our neighbors, a musician, brought his favorite band along with band groupies and a Hollywood celebrity who showed up in a regal purple suit and honored us all with an impromptu New Year's Eve medley! We always have tons of food, drinks, music, and games displayed in plain view and begging to be played. Charades and Table Topics are perennial favorites. Generally we use New Year's Eve as an excuse to use every dish, bowl, and platter in the house and then we supplement with small plates in every imaginable shape.
As always, Party Idea Pros has done the research for you and has put together the best of the best New Years products available so you can quickly and easily determine what you might need or what you might like for this year's New Year's Celebration. Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year filled with peace and joy, love and laughter!

Email Chic Last Minute New Year's Party Invitations for FREE!

Great looking, chic online invitations are available – really!  We freely admit, we are invitation snobs.  We still like an invitation to be delivered to our home mailbox rather than our email inbox but occasionally, time gets away from us or at the last minute we decide to host a party. It is times like this we turn to Purple Trail.  For most of their invitations they offer three options – ORDER PRINTS | PRINT @ HOME | SEND ONLINE.  Their send online options is free but it can be a bit tricky to find it since you first need to personalize your invitation or at the very least click the Proceed to Order buttons.  Then at the top of the page you will see three tabs.  Order Prints tab is clearly visible.  Next to that tab are 2 very faded tabs.  The last one is the Send Online Tab.  Click that one and follow the directions from there.  You get 50 Free invitations – more than that you will need to become a PurpleTrail Club Member (membership also affords you invitations up to 1500 guests, the ability to add music to your invitation/eCard and it is the only method of making your emails 100% advertisement free.)

As you will notice, we have chosen to feature a few of our favorite New Year's Eve Party Invitations.  Just this morning, I began thinking about maybe hosting a small New Year's Eve party this year and of course, it is too late to choose, personalize, proof and mail out invitations in time to for my guests to attend.  Right now I am leaning towards the Pop Fizz Clink New Year's Eve party invitation especially since its font is Art Deco inspired and will go well with the  Great Gatsby Roaring 20's party theme I am contemplating.

Party Hearty!
