Teen Costumes ! Looking for the perfect costume? A fashionable teen costume for Halloween, plays, parties or other events? There are so many costumes from which to choose, Party Idea Pros is highlighting just a few of our favorites.
Most teenage girls we know travel in packs and love coordinating their costumes. One year all the high school girls dressed as storybook characters. Another year they all dressed in neon. Not sure yet what this year will bring … crayons, candy, goth, witches, goddesses, sesame street, superheroes? Whatever they choose, I have no doubt the teen costumes will be too short and too sexy for their parents' taste!
Click on the links or pictures for the teen costume for details but remember, the photos below just give you the overall look. Quite often you can choose from a variety of options ranging from almost dowdy to quite sexy, so be sure to click on the “see more” links option when you visit the costume site. Many of these costumes are specially sized just for a teen but don't worry if they are not. Most of the x-small or small adult costumes will fit just fine. If they are cut a bit too low for your taste, add a tank top underneath. If they are too short … that's why leggings were invented. 🙂

What is the Ides of March?
courtesy of Jennifer Vernon, for National Geographic News, March 12, 2004
Julius Caesar's bloody assassination on March 15, 44 B.C., forever marked March 15, or the Ides of March, as a day of infamy. It has fascinated scholars and writers ever since. For ancient Romans living before that event, however, an ides was merely one of several common calendar terms used to mark monthly lunar events. The ides simply marked the appearance of the full moon.
But the Ides of March assumed a whole new identity after the events of 44 B.C. The phrase came to represent a specific day of abrupt change that set off a ripple of repercussions throughout Roman society and beyond. Click here for the rest of the article
Today, thanks to the William Shakespeare‘s play Julius Caesar, the soothsayer's warning to Julius Caesar, “Beware the Ides of March,” has forever imbued that date with a sense of foreboding. But here at Party Idea Pros we say the ides of March is just another excuse to party, especially for those interested in ancient Roman history, Shakespeare, or anything toga. Pick and chose from a wide range of ideas. This theme can go as elegant or as bawdy as you desire.

My 16 year old niece, Dani, is a huge One Dimension Fan so whenever I get a chance I try to catch the boy band on TV. So this morning I tuned into the Today Show special to watch Harry, Louis, Zayn, Niall, and Liam perform in front of 18,000 screaming fans packed into the Today Show Plaza and down the adjacent NYC streets. Timed to perfection with their new movie One Direction: This is Us set to be released in the United Sates on August 30th, #1DLove shows no signs of waning.
Although there is not a huge selection of One Direction party supplies available there is definitely enough to elicit plenty of giggles from a gaggle of tweens. There are party kits, party favors, t-shirts (perfect to use as One Direction slumber party jammys) and posters and standups for decoration. And to top it all off, there is even an iPhone case, charm bracelet and 2014 calendar that would make great gifts for the birthday gal.
