Mountain Day Inspiration >> Celebrate Autumn!

Today is Mountain Day! The Smith College bells were rung early this morning (October 5th) to announce that the college's president has suspended classes for the day. Students are free to go hiking, have picnics, pick apples at local farms, or just take a relaxing break. #smithmountainday

What a beautiful tradition!  As some of you who have been following me for a while know, this is not the first time I have waxed poetic about Mountain Day.  I truly believe that every institution and organization should establish a similar holiday dedicated to re-invigorating the soul.
