Party Idea Pros strongly suggests you keep your invitations occasion specific. Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are very special life cycle events and should be respected as such. There are lots of invitations to choose from but here is our favorite for this theme. Be sure to write include your daughter’s Hebrew name or a Jewish motif symbol, if available

This party is so special it calls for an equally special invite. Personalized Stamps for Invitation
If you go all out on the invitation, do not skimp on the stamp. Personalize your stamps by using zazzle custom postage. You might even ask Majestic Invites if it is possible to use one of their coordinating patterns to create your own stamp. Before purchasing any postage, please be sure to bring a complete invitation, including all inserts, to a local post office to determine exactly how much postage is required. For this type of high end invitation, I would not even consider using a USPS stamp.

Kiddush Luncheon

We firmly believe the Kiddush luncheon decor should relate either to your son’s Parsha (Torah portion), reflect his mitzvah project, be consumable, or be very simple and neutral.

Centerpiece Ideas
Call your local Jewish Family Services. Many offer a program called Centerpieces for Tzedakah. JFS (or its local equivalent) will rent you centerpieces for your event with all proceeds benefitting a local charity. This is a great option if friends or family have offered to host the Kiddush luncheon in your daughter’s honor. We did this for my niece’s Bat Mitzvah in Atlanta and arranged for it all by phone in San Diego. Be sure to include a note on each table explaining the significance of the centerpiece.
Consider creating centerpieces to donate to your local food pantry or homeless shelter. Display non-perishable food in a paper grocery bag cut down to about 4 inches high. or create baskets filled with stuffed animals, books, sporting goods, toys, or school supplies or toiletries.
To create toiletry gifts for woman’s shelters fill a few of these satin silver scalloped rectangular tray or silver metallic trays with all the essentials.

The essentials:
First aid kit, Tylenol, Advil, hairbrush, comb, bobby pins, concealer, lip gloss, mouth wash, hairspray, stain remover, antacid, tampons and sanitary pads, sewing kit, safety pins, clear nail polish, nail polish remover, nail file, mints & hard candies, hand lotion, and dental floss.
